Signed presentation from Rosner on the front endpaper: "To Mr. Burton Craige, With best wishes, Henry Clay Risner. Winston-Salem, North Carolina. March 25, 1935." Risner was a well-known publicist and platform orator. This book is his experiences and encounters and interviews with different people while with the Army of Occupation at Coblenz in Germany just after World War I. Burton Craige was a North Carolina lawyer. He was an attorney for the Reynolds Tobacco Company and served in the state's General Assembly and its constitutional study commission. He was on the was on the board of trustees of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Craige Residence Hall there is named in his honor.
