Hardback. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. 303 pages; 5 p. index; bibliographical references in the text; over 600 illustrations; from the dj: "In Twain's own words, you can capture a closeup view of one of America's rarest, richest, and raciest lives. 'Mark Twain Himself' offers a delightful mosaic of pictures and words, taken directly from Twain's own pen in a variety of sources--his letters, notebooks, newspaper reporting, sketches, travel pieces, fiction and his autobiography." Book condition: the board paper covering (rear cover) has a small horizontal ridge crossing the board cover width--I take this to be a binding error, otherwise the book is about fine; Dj has some upward edge bending, mostly on the bottom front panel; no edge tears.
