Vintage "The Mystery Writers of America, Inc. present a guide to Warner's 'Conflict' brochure. The two-color brochure features short essays by Rex Stout, Helen Reilly, Richard Burke, Marie F. Rodell, Edward D. Radin, and Helen McCloy. Based on an unpublished story by Robert Siodmak and Alfred Neumann. Probably the most unheralded of the noir entries in Humphrey Bogart's filmography, likely because the lovable actor plays a disreputable character, and the story embraces a decidedly downbeat ending. Bogart's frustrated husband is something of a married version of the bachelor he famously portrayed in Nicholas Ray's "In a Lonely Place" (1950). 7 x 10 inches, four leaves, side-stapled. Very Good, with splitting at the spine, and light creasing and edgewear. Grant US. Selby Canon. Selby Master List. Silver and Ward US. Spicer US.
