Though he would make a comeback from the injury, his career unfortunately was never the same afterwards due to sight problems.

In was 1967 and sensational young outfielder Tony Conigliaro was hit in the eye by a ball thrown by Jack Fisher, that nearly ended his career and his life. This book tells about his remarkable comeback. Conigliaro retired in 1975, would then suffer a heart attack and then a stroke which left him in a vegatative state for eight years before he died. Red baords with gold lettering on the spine. First Printing stated. Both the non price clipped Dust Jacket and the book are in very good condition. The Dust Jacket has a couple of small tears is now in a Mylar protector. The inside first page has a a stamp from a prior owner. I have hundreds of baseball biographies in stock.
