About the Author:
John Motoviloff worked in scholarly publishing for ten years and is now a freelance writer. He was educated at Boston College and University of Wisconsin-Madison. His writing has appeared in national conservation, literary, and sporting magazines, including Ducks Unlimited and Gray's Sporting Journal. He lives in Madison, Wisconsin, with his wife Kerry, and Lab, Tasha. In autumn he can most likely be found at his dacha on the banks of the Kickapoo River.
