About the Author:
Kate Petty lived in Cornwall with her husband, Mike, before tragically dying from cancer in May 2007. She was both an extraordinary writer and an extraordinary person. As the author of a number of novelty and pop-up books, including the innovative The Great Grammar Book and The Wonderful World Book. Kate worked in publishing for many years and was involved in creating amazing books for the Eden Project children's book list. Mary Claire Smith lives in Whitstable, Kent with her husband and son.
