A 'wild child' is found in the forest by three builders. He is taken to a psychiatric unit, where he attracts the attention of June, a middle-aged psychology student, her husband, Julius, who runs the unit, and Sara, their 15-year-old daughter. June and Julius fight over the 'Indian Boy', but it is Sara who forms a bond with him.

About the Author:
Rona Munro won Evening Standard Most Promising Playwright for Bold Girls in 1991 and the Peggy Ramsay Award for The Maiden Stone in 1995. Iron (Traverse) transferred to London (Royal Court 2003). Autumn 2006 sees four other new plays: Long Time Dead (Paines Plough) plus adaptations of Strawberries in January (Traverse), Mary Barton (Royal Exchange Manchester), and Watership Down (Lyric Hammersmith).
