ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Scott MacGregor is a recognized and published photographer and writer. He has been writing and publishing graphic stories for over 30 years in collaboration with illustrator Gary Dumm and other artists. MacGregor is the principal writer and publisher of the comic book, Dip Stories. In 2012, MacGregor was awarded the prestigious Creative Workforce Fellowship Grant by Northeastern Ohio's Cuyahoga Arts and Culture as the result of his presentation of TUNNEL TO HELL which is his first graphic novel. ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR Gary Dumm has been drawing (and mainly drawing comics) for around 50 years. His mother used comic books to help teach him to read, and he still loves that singular juxtaposition of words and pictures. In 1976 he met Cleveland’s “master of the mundane,” comic book writer Harvey Pekar and began a 30 year association with him, doing art for his ground-breaking autobiographical comic American Splendor, and later doing promotional materials for the innovative movie of the same name (2003). Other collaborations on comics of diverse subject matters over the years have included Shooty Beagle, Dip Stories, Beyond Plan 9 From Outer Space, The Trespassers, Dan Turner Hollywood Detective, Zombie Moon, Music Makers blues bios and BB Bluesbird (an online comic strip).
Scott MacGregor and artist Gary Dumm have crafted a brilliant graphic novel. The Book is a true tour de force.
