Wendell Odom, CCIE® No. 1624, is a senior instructor with Skyline Advanced Technology Services, where he teaches QoS, CCIE®, and CCNA courses. Wendell has worked in the networking arena for more than 20 years and has authored several Cisco Press® books, including the best-selling CCNA Exam Certification Guides.
Rick McDonald teaches computer and networking courses at the University of Alaska Southeast in Ketchikan, Alaska. He is developing methods for delivering long distance, hands-on training in Alaska using Web conferencing and NETLAB® tools. Rick worked in the airline industry for several years before returning to full-time teaching. Rick taught CCNA and CCNP® courses in the Cisco Networking Academy in North Carolina and was a CCNA instructor trainer.

Wendell Odom, CCIE No. 1624, is a senior instructor with Skyline ATS, where he teaches courses on QoS, CCNA, and CCIE lab preparation. He has worked in the networking arena for 20 years, with jobs in technical consulting, teaching, and course development. Wendell has written portions of more than 12 courses and numerous Cisco Press titles, including the best-selling CCNA Exam Certification Guides. He lives in Cincinnati.
Rick McDonald teaches computer and networking courses at the University of Alaska Southeast in Ketchikan, Alaska. He holds a B.A. degree in English and an M.A. degree in Educational Technology from Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. After several years in the airline industry, he returned to full time teaching. Rick started in the Cisco Academy in North Carolina and taught CCNA and CCNP courses to students and was a CCNA Instructor Trainer. Previous Academy projects include authoring CCNP study guides and technical editing a previous edition of the CCNA 2 and 3 textbook. His current project is developing methods for delivering hands-on training via distance in Alaska using web conferencing and NETLAB(r) tools.
