KENNETH A. SHAW, Ph.D., is the chancellor of Syracuse University. Previously, he was president of the University of Wisconsin System. Shaw has also held the positions of chancellor of the Southern Illinois University System, president of Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, and vice president and dean of Towson University. At Syracuse University, Shaw has directed the most extensive restructuring process in the institutions history and has reinforced its vision to become the nations leading student-centered research university. He is the former chair of the board of trustees of the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities and a member of the board of directors of the American Council on Education.
