About the Author:
John Malkow's life changed in 1968 when a lab explosion plunged him into a world of darkness. He was told there was no hope of ever seeing again, so he returned to his roots in Southern Oregon, determined to live his life as a blind person in a sighted world.
Review:
"I did everything but drive a car and fly a plane," he said. Thirty years later, after a surgery that his doctors called "a miracle," he saw his two daughters for the first time. Today John and his wife, Anita, are active volunteers with their local Lions Club.
