All sports require an understanding of basic skills and techniques which are essential for a particular sport. Both Jim and Polly Jordan have been involved in athletics for many years. Polly was successful in high school track and field, placing in two relay events in the Ohio State Track Championships. She also played an integral part in Jim's athletic career. Jim was a 4X Ohio High School State Wrestling Champion, and while in college, he was a 3X All-American, 2X Big Ten Champion, and 2X NCAA Champion. Today, he holds the position of Assistant Wrestling Coach at Ohio State University.Jim and Polly received their undergraduate degrees from The University of Wisconsin - Madison. Polly's B.A. was in Art Education while Jim majored in Economics. Jim also has a M.A. in Education from The Ohio State University.Jim and Polly have four children: Rachel, Benjamin, Jessie, and Isaac. They live near West Liberty, Ohio in rural Champaign County.Craig Horswill received his B.S. (science education/chemistry) and M.S. (physical education/exercise physiology) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the 1970s. While in school there, he competed on the varsity wrestling team and won four letters. In 1986, Craig completed his Ph.D. in physical education (exercise physiology) at the University of Illinois-Champaign Urbana. As a doctoral student, Craig was also the head wrestling coach at Champaign Central High School from 1979-83 during which time the varsity team had a 52-15 record and finished 4th in the Class AA state tournament in 1983. As a faculty member, Craig has conducted research in the Human Performance Lab at Ball State University and in the Divisions of Nutrition and Endocrinology at Columbus Children's Hospital before recently taking his present position as a Scientist with Quaker Oats (Gatorade Exercise Physiology Lab). He has also served on the Science and Medicine Committee for USA Wrestling.
