About the Author:
Jay Pridmore is a columnist for the Chicago Tribune. He is the author of many books, including Chicago Botanic Garden: Portrait of a Garden (Chicago Horticulture Society, 1999), The Museum of Science and Industry (Abrams, 1997), Chicago Architecture and Design (Abrams, 1993), and Portrait of America (Rand McNally, 1991).
