At the end of Aliki's We Are Best Friends (1982), Peter had to move, and he had to part from his best friend, Robert. Now, in this upbeat sequel, Peter comes back for a visit. Aliki's clear, lovely pictures in pen, watercolor, and colored pencil show the friends a little uncertain at first ("Will he still like me?" ). Some things have changed, but soon they play and talk together, like old times. Peter meets Robert's new friend, and when they go to fly a paper airplane in the park, all the kids welcome Peter back. Although the best friends must part again, it will be fun to look forward to the next visit and fun to remember.
