Rick Maddocks, aged 30, was recently named by the Vancouver Sun as one of B.C.'s ten "most vaunted" writers. He has been published in numerous literary journals and anthologies, and was nominated by Prism International for the CAA/Air Canada Award for most promising writer under 30. The opening piece of Sputnik Diner won Prairie Fire's Long Fiction Competition and was the winner of a Western Magazine Award. Rick Maddocks lives in Vancouver.
