For the allies, the unthinkable was about to happen: a plot that would create a new and infinitely more evil regime to rise like a phoenix from the ashes of Hitler's Germany. Three men - two Britons and an American - set off on a desperate mission behind enemy lines. Their task: the assassination of one of the most closely guarded men in Germany. All three are killers, all three carry secrets of their murky pasts, but one conceals the deadliest secret of all - a betrayal that could change the course of history.
